 KS: Code of Honor

Code of Honor

  • Honor -- All members will act with honor at all times. Assisting those who need it, and defending others when possible. We stick together and defend each other.
  • Orders -- In non-combat situations we will handle business in as informally as feasible. However in a combat situation, the orders of the hunt leader or ranking member should be followed. During a fight, working together is required, and this is the only way to do so.
  • Ventrilo -- We make use of a Ventrilo server for communication during PvP Battles, instances, and just for general chat. More information on accessing the Ventrilo server can be found at this link http://www.steeldominion.com/index.php?page=6&mode=article&k=15
  • Have Fun -- The main goal of the game is to enjoy it.
  • No Dishonorable Dueling -- We do not kill the undeserving. Starting Duels with players who have no chance (are more than 5 levels below you) should be avoided. Taunting such a player afterwords is discouraged.
  • Dress Code -- All members are required to wear the Tabard of the Knights of Steel on any official guild function. You may wear different combinations of clothing but the KS Blue and Grey must be worn. You are not required to wear a uniform when not at official guild functions.
  • Scheduled Meetings -- The Knights of Steel will occasionally schedule a meeting to gather forces for a Raid. Meetings are led by either the High Chancellor or one of the Council. If no members of the Council are present, the most senior ranking member will be in charge. An open invitation to all allied guilds stands, and any members of said guilds are more than welcome.
  • Looting Rules -- Looting rules are solely at the discretion of the party leader, but the two recommended rules are either.
    • Round Robin: This is fair, because everybody will get a turn
    • Standard Rolls: If this rule is in place, and an item comes up for roll that you can't use. Don't roll for it.
    • In the case of chests in dungeons, all players in the party will /roll 100 and the highest roller will win the right to the chest.
In all cases, if somebody else in your party can use an item that you have no use for, you should give it to that person or trade it with them for something that you can use. In the case of Bind on Pickup items, if you can't use it, don't roll for it. If everybody passes, a second roll for greed/disenchant products of them item can occur. Again, this is soley at the discression of the party leader.
  • "Grief Players" -- We do not taunt or harass people within or outside the guild. We are a guild of peace and justice. Any member caught taunting, harassing, or scamming another player is subject to an inquisition regarding loss of rank, status, and title. A member is subject to possible banishment for a second reported offense. If it becomes known to us that you have other non-guilded characters that participate in this sort of activity, the same penalties will apply. Our primary source of trust is the person behind the keyboard... not just the character. Other behavior that may result in instant expulsion from the guild include (but are not limited to) excessive profanity, racism, and blatent breaches of Blizzard/WoW terms of service.
  • Conflicts between members -- The first step to resolving any conflict with a member is to address that problem with the person in question. Most times the problem is unintentional and the member may apologize and the issue is resolved. If , however, this does not resolve the problem it may be addressed in the presence of the High Chancellor, or one of The Council.
  • Resolving conflicts with rules or the guild -- Sometimes there will come a time when a member has a problem with an interpretation of a rule or a way of conduct in the game. If you have a problem with, or a question, of a standing rule; or you have any doubt regarding an action you want to take... do not do it. Contact a member of The Council and ask. Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse and any action taken without taking in the guilds concerns can lead to disciplinary action up to and including banishment from the guild.
  • Titles and the Leadership Council -- Titles and Rank will be granted purely at the discretion of the High Chancellor and The Council. Membership in the leadership council is also purely at the discretion of the High Chancellor. However, suggestions are always welcome and encouraged. One important note, simply asking for a title... does not mean you shall receive it.
