 LOS: Rules of Conduct
Code of Honor
Honor -- All members will act with honor at all times. Assisting those who need it, and defending others when possible. We stick together and defend each other.

Orders -- In non-combat situations we will handle business in as informally as feasible. However in a combat situation, the orders of the hunt leader or ranking member should be followed. During a fight, working together is required, and this is the only way to do so.

Have Fun -- The main goal of the game is to enjoy it.

Scheduled Meetings -- The Legion of Steel meets once a week at the Tyrena Starport or any other convenient agreed upon location. An open invitation to all allied guilds stands, and any members of said guilds are more than welcome.

"Grief Players" -- We do not taunt or harass people within or outside the guild. We are a guild of peace and justice. Any member caught taunting, harassing, or scamming another player is subject to an inquisition regarding loss of rank, status, and title. A member is subject to possible banishment for a second reported offense. If it becomes known to us that you have other non-guilded characters that participate in this sort of activity, the same penalties will apply. Our primary source of trust is the person behind the keyboard... not just the character. Other behavior that may result in instant expulsion from the guild include (but are not limited to) excessive profanity, racism, and blatent breaches of SOE/SWG terms of service.

Conflicts between members -- The first step to resolving any conflict with a member is to address that problem with the person in question. Most times the problem is unintentional and the member may apologize and the issue is resolved. If , however, this does not resolve the problem it may be addressed in the presence of your Centurion, should there be no resolution this may be bumped up the chain of command to a ranking Tribune, and finally to the Legate, in the case of a decision by the Legate, no further escallation of this issue remains.

Resolving conflicts with rules or the guild -- Sometimes there will come a time when a member has a problem with an interpretation of a rule or a way of conduct in the game. If you have a problem with, or a question, of a standing rule; or you have any doubt regarding an action you want to take... do not do it. Contact a ranking Centurion and ask, if he or she is unable to resolve your issue, bump it up the chain of command. Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse and any action taken without taking in the guilds concerns can lead to disciplinary action up to and including banishment from the guild.

Titles and the Leadership Council -- Titles and Rank will be granted purely at the discretion of a Tribune or Legate. Membership in the leadership council is also purely at the discretion of a Tribune or the Legate. However, suggestions are always welcome and encouraged. One important note, simply asking for a title... does not mean you shall receive it.

PvP/PK: As all PvP in SWG is conscentual, there are no restrictions upon wanton slaying of those of an opposing faction.

Joining: In order to become a member within the Legion's ranks, one must meet several criteria:

  1. Have an account on these message boards and check it periodically
  2. Receive sponsorship from a member with the ability to do so in game, posession of this without 1 above, will result in a rejection of said applicant.
  3. After deliberations by the senior members of the Legion, be accepted by one of those with the ability to do so.*

* This may include trivia questions, quests, or nothing at all for the applicant to perform.

Engagement and Combat -- The Legion takes a shoot first and interrogate the corpse approach as summarized by a great war leader named Pyrotech, "If it moves... KILL IT! If it doesn't move... Push it till it moves THEN KILL IT!"
